Duterte and his insult to Obama

The big news today is how the Philippine president, Rodrigo Duterte has called Obama a "son of a whore" ("Putang ina” in Tagalog, the local language). Before going to Laos for the 13th ASEAN Business and Investment Summit 2016, Duterte has had a press briefing. During the press conference he was asked how he would respond if Obama brings up the human rights issue during their meeting.

One of the things that Duterte said, but is rarely mentioned in the articles being published is his comment regarding the infamous US colonial past event, the Bud Dajo massacre.

His remarks have put the Philippines on International spotlight. Here are some of the headlines:
